As an academic and writer, I pursue a variety of interests. At any given time, several projects crowd my head. Some of them can be pursued till a point, some just run away and some are impossible to follow beyond an argument or two. But few remain. They tease, taunt and haunt, doggedly refusing to go away. They become books. My monograph on Uttam Kumar is one such. A couple of other books are in early stages of discussion.
